If Babusar Pass is open, which usually remains accessible from June to October depending on weather and road conditions, we take this shorter and more scenic route through the beautiful Kaghan Valley. Travelling via Balakot, Kiwai, Naran, Lulusar Lake, and Babusar Pass (4,173 metres / 13,691 feet), you'll enjoy breathtaking alpine scenery, lush meadows, glacier-fed streams, and panoramic mountain views before descending to Chilas.

When Babusar Pass is closed, the journey follows the legendary Karakoram Highway, tracing the mighty Indus River through deep gorges and dramatic mountain landscapes. Regarded as one of the world's greatest engineering achievements, the Karakoram Highway follows part of the ancient Silk Road and offers spectacular scenery throughout the drive.

En route, stop at the renowned Rakaposhi View Point, one of the best places to admire the magnificent Rakaposhi (7,788 metres), one of the few 7,000-metre peaks in the world that rises almost directly from cultivated fields and villages.
