How Hunza Explorers began
Hunza Explorers Treks & Tours has grown through more than two decades of experience in mountain tourism, cultural journeys and adventure travel across Pakistan and the wider region.
- 2003
Started Operating Tours in Pakistan
Our journey began in 2003 with the organisation of tours and travel experiences in Pakistan, building the foundation for what would later become Hunza Explorers.
- 2013
Hunza Explorers Was Established
In 2013, we changed our operating name to Hunza Explorers, reflecting our strong connection with the mountains and communities of northern Pakistan.

Registered with the Department of Tourist Services
Following the name change, Hunza Explorers Treks & Tours obtained a new tourism licence from the Department of Tourist Services, Government of Pakistan, under the name Hunza Explorers Treks & Tours.
- 2013
Expanded to Xinjiang, China
In the same year, we expanded our operations beyond Pakistan and began organising tours in Xinjiang, China, connecting travellers with the historic Silk Road region and its mountain landscapes.
- 2014
Expanded to Afghanistan and Tajikistan
Our regional operations continued to grow in 2014, with the addition of Afghanistan and Tajikistan to our tour destinations.
- 2017
Introduced Pakistan to Vietnamese Travellers
In 2017, we entered the Vietnamese travel market and began introducing Pakistan as a destination to Vietnamese travellers. Hunza Explorers became the first tourism company in Pakistan to actively introduce Pakistan to the Vietnamese tourist market, establishing a connection that has continued to grow over the years.

Registered with SECP
In 2027, Hunza Explorers was formally registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), marking another important step in the development of the company.

Hunza Explorers Name and Logo Trademarked
After years of pursuing trademark protection, 2026 marked an important milestone for the brand. The Hunza Explorers name and logo were officially trademarked, providing legal protection for the identity we have built over more than two decades.
