- This is a demanding high-altitude trekking expedition. Previous experience of multi-day trekking and good physical fitness are strongly recommended.
- The trek involves prolonged travel over glaciers, moraine, snowfields, rocky terrain and uneven mountain trails.
- The expedition crosses Hispar Pass, at approximately 5,150 metres (16,896 ft), and reaches remote high-altitude areas where altitude sickness is a serious consideration.
- Trekkers should allow sufficient time for acclimatisation and follow the
- advice of the Hunza Explorers guide and expedition team.
- Weather conditions in the Karakoram Range can change rapidly. Snow, rain, strong winds and extreme cold are possible, even during the main trekking season.
- The itinerary and daily trekking schedule may be adjusted according to
- weather, glacier conditions, river crossings, acclimatisation
- requirements and the safety of the group.
- There are no hotels or permanent tourist facilities along much of the Biafo Hispar & Snow Lake Trek. Accommodation during the expedition is primarily in tents at designated or suitable wilderness campsites.

- Trekkers must bring suitable high-altitude trekking equipment, including
- appropriate clothing, footwear, sleeping gear and personal equipment. A

- instructions of the expedition guides.
- Comprehensive travel insurance covering high-altitude trekking, emergency medical treatment and helicopter evacuation is strongly recommended and may be required before joining the expedition.
- Helicopter rescue and evacuation in remote mountain areas are subject to
- weather conditions, aircraft availability, official permissions and
