Upon your arrival at Islamabad International Airport, our professional guide and driver will warmly welcome you at the international arrival terminal or at your designated location in Islamabad or Rawalpindi.

After a friendly meet and greet with our team, you will be comfortably transferred to your hotel in Islamabad. During the drive, enjoy your first impressions of Pakistan’s capital city, known for its modern layout, clean environment, and scenic backdrop of the Margalla Hills.

Upon arrival at the hotel, check-in and relax after your journey. The rest of the day is at leisure to rest or explore the nearby surroundings at your own pace.

Upon arrival at Gilgit Airport, our team will receive you and begin the drive toward Minapin Village in Nagar Valley, the gateway to the famous Rakaposhi Base Camp Trek. En route, enjoy the dramatic mountain landscapes and the changing scenery of northern Pakistan as we enter the heart of the Karakoram region.

If the flight is cancelled due to weather conditions, we continue the journey by road towards Chilas.

Scenic Drive Option (In case of flight cancellation)

In case of flight cancellation, we begin a full-day drive towards Chilas via the legendary Karakoram Highway (KKH). This historic route follows the mighty Indus River, passing through deep gorges, rugged cliffs, and dramatic mountain scenery.

If weather conditions and road access allow, we may travel via the beautiful Naran Valley and cross the Babusar Pass, one of the highest mountain passes in Pakistan, offering alpine meadows, snow-capped peaks, and stunning viewpoints along the way.

Both routes offer unforgettable landscapes, cultural encounters, and photographic stops, making the journey an essential part of the northern Pakistan experience.

Upon arrival in Minapin (or Chilas, depending on the route), guests will be transferred to the hotel or guesthouse for check-in and rest.

After breakfast, we begin one of the most memorable experiences of the journey — the trek to Rakaposhi Base Camp (Nagar Valley), located beneath the towering face of Rakaposhi (7788m) and Diran Peak (7266m).

The trail starts from Minapin Village, a beautiful settlement in Nagar Valley, known for its orchards, traditional stone houses, and welcoming local culture. As we ascend gradually through alpine terrain, the route offers spectacular views of glaciers, lush meadows, and the dramatic Karakoram skyline.

During the trek, travelers are rewarded with ever-changing mountain scenery, from green valleys to rugged moraine landscapes, until reaching the breathtaking surroundings of Rakaposhi Base Camp, where towering ice walls and glaciers create one of the most dramatic alpine settings in Pakistan.

If the flight to Gilgit is cancelled the previous day, we begin a scenic drive toward Minapin Village via the legendary Karakoram Highway (KKH).

Along the way, we make several iconic stops that highlight the natural and cultural richness of northern Pakistan:

We pause at the famous viewpoint of Nanga Parbat (8126m), the world’s ninth-highest mountain, offering a stunning and unforgettable panorama of the Himalayas.

We continue to the historic junction point where three great mountain ranges meet — the Karakoram, Himalaya, and Hindu Kush — a rare geographical highlight of the region.

The journey also passes through remnants of the ancient Old Silk Road, once a vital trade route connecting Central and South Asia.

Before reaching Minapin, we enjoy a scenic stop near the viewpoint of Rakaposhi (7788m), where travelers can enjoy lunch surrounded by one of the most dramatic mountain landscapes in the world.

By late afternoon, we arrive in Minapin Village, where guests check into the hotel or guesthouse and relax after a full day of travel.

Today is dedicated to exploring the raw alpine beauty of Nagar Valley, with options for either a relaxed exploration around Rakaposhi Base Camp or a more adventurous hike toward Diran Base Camp (7266m).

For those staying around Rakaposhi Base Camp, the day offers time to fully immerse in the dramatic glacier scenery beneath Rakaposhi (7788m). The surrounding landscape opens up into vast icefields, alpine meadows, and towering rock walls, creating one of the most spectacular high-altitude camping environments in the Karakoram Mountains. Guests can enjoy short walks around the campsite, photography sessions, and uninterrupted views of the surrounding peaks as light changes throughout the day.

For more adventurous trekkers, we continue toward Diran Base Camp, crossing glacial terrain under the guidance of our experienced mountain team. The trail leads across the Barpu Glacier, where steady footing and careful navigation are required as we move through ice formations, moraine fields, and rugged alpine terrain.

Upon reaching Minapin, we transfer to our vehicles and begin the scenic drive toward Upper Hunza (Gojal Valley). The journey unfolds along the legendary Karakoram Highway (KKH), following the course of the Hunza River through deep gorges, rugged cliffs, and ever-changing mountain vistas.

En route, the landscape transitions into the dramatic beauty of Upper Hunza, with striking views of the surrounding peaks and river valleys. We continue toward the charming settlements of Gulmit, Ghulkin, or Passu, each offering a unique glimpse into the culture and lifestyle of the high mountain communities.

Upon arrival in Gulmit / Ghulkin / Passu, guests are transferred to their hotel or guesthouse. The rest of the day is free to relax, enjoy the peaceful surroundings, or take a short walk through the nearby village lanes.

Today is dedicated to a full-day discovery of the cultural and natural highlights of Upper Hunza (Gojal Valley), based in Ghulkin, Gulmit, or Passu.

We begin with a visit to the spectacular Passu Glacier, where vast ice formations stretch beneath the dramatic peaks of the Karakoram Range. The glacier offers a powerful and unforgettable alpine landscape experience.

We continue to the serene Borith Lake, a peaceful high-altitude lake surrounded by towering mountains, offering calm reflections and a perfect environment for relaxation and photography.

Later, we visit the iconic Passu Suspension Bridge, one of the most famous hanging bridges in Upper Hunza, offering thrilling views over the river and surrounding cliffs.

The day also includes time in the traditional villages of Gulmit and Ghulkin, where travelers experience local Wakhi culture, stone-built architecture, and warm mountain hospitality.

Today we set out for a spectacular full-day excursion to the legendary Khunjerab Pass (4693m), the highest paved international border crossing in the world, connecting Pakistan with China through the mighty Karakoram Range.

The journey unfolds along the scenic Karakoram Highway (KKH), one of the highest paved roads in the world, offering continuous views of rugged mountains, deep valleys, and glacial rivers. As we ascend into higher elevations, the landscape transforms into a dramatic high-altitude wilderness.

Upon reaching Khunjerab Pass, travelers experience a truly unforgettable moment at the border point, surrounded by snow-covered peaks and vast open landscapes. The thin mountain air and panoramic views create one of the most iconic highlights of northern Pakistan.

Visit to Khunjerab National Park

On the return journey, we make a stop at Khunjerab National Park, a protected wildlife reserve known for its unique high-altitude ecosystem. In the evening, we drive up to the famous Duiker (Eagle’s Nest Viewpoint). From this elevated viewpoint, travelers witness one of the most breathtaking sunsets in the region, where golden light spreads across the peaks of Rakaposhi (7788m), Ultar Sar, and the surrounding mountains of Hunza and Nagar Valleys.

After breakfast, we bid farewell to the enchanting landscapes of Hunza Valley and begin our return journey toward Naran or Besham, depending on road and weather conditions.

As we travel along the Hunza River and through deep gorges carved by the mighty Indus system, the landscape continues to impress with its raw natural beauty, rugged cliffs, and glacier-fed waters.

En route, we make short photography and refreshment stops at scenic viewpoints, allowing travelers to fully absorb the grandeur of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
